You will work through a facilitated process that will help you consider and anticipate the impact of classroom policies, the use of technology, possible sensitive topics that may arise in your course as well as diversifying content and assessments to recast how to recognize and to utilize discomfort in our learning environments.

Workshop participants will learn about and practice identifying how sexism affects each of us and how to interrupt sexism in their learning environments.

Teaching Practice is a teaching improvement technique that involves an instructor delivering a mini-lesson (10-12 minutes) to a small group of peers in order to receive detailed feedback on their teaching effectiveness. It is a great opportunity for instructors to try new teaching strategies in a safe environment.
This workshop will help graduate students and postdoctoral scholars understand mentoring and how to maximize mentorship relationships.
