Designing Blended Courses (Part 3): Assignment Design

You are invited to attend the PTF Info Session and Mixer on Monday, October 25 at 2:30pm in the Glickman Conference Center to meet with current and alumni PTFs, learn about the program, and hear an overview of the annual application process.

This session will describe the UT Counseling and Mental Health Center's Well-being in Learning Environments project that collaborates with faculty to support student mental health. During the session, we will learn about and practice various wellness strategies, including expressing gratitude, developing a growth mindset, and being self-compassionate.

This workshop will provide the opportunity to critically reflect on what diversity means to you and how you demonstrate a commitment to diversity, as well as to begin articulating how these values are apparent in your current practice and future goals.

New Quizzes will become the only quiz option in Canvas by summer 2022. We will present an overview of New Quizzes, a comparison of "Classic" vs "New" Quizzes and when to make the switch (Comparison Document (Links to an external site.)). For more information, please see the Timeline for New Quizzes (Links to an external site.).

Discussion can be an effective classroom tool to reach a variety of course goals. In this session, you will identify course goals you may achieve through discussion, consider instructor anxieties regarding discussion, learn tools to facilitate effective discussions, and gain knowledge about a range of discussion schemes and strategies.

PTF Think Tanks invite instructors to discuss problems and tackle tough topics in a safe environment among a diverse group of fellow faculty. This session will focus on ways to promote student wellbeing within the classroom and course context. All instructors are welcome!
