This summer the Provost's Teaching Fellows and Faculty Innovation Center will be hosting a fully-online Eyes on Teaching for UT Instructors.
We will discuss how to use existing tools in Canvas to facilitate online/remote teaching. You may already be using Announcements and Discussions, but are you only using text when you could be using video? Zoom is great for real-time engagement, but did you know that Panopto offers your students the ability to search for text on slides, jot down notes, add feedback (discussions), and take self-check quizzes?

Commons meetups are informal Zoom gatherings focused on a specific topic related to online/blended teaching and facilitated by a member of the faculty or UT instructional staff.
This webinar will cover the workflow of online assignment creation, student submission, instructor grading and student’s view of feedback. We will present an overview of the gradebook and discuss the advantages of using grading tools such as Rubrics and SpeedGrader.
