We will discuss how to use existing tools in Canvas to facilitate online/remote teaching. You may already be using Announcements and Discussions, but are you only using text when you could be using video? Zoom is great for real-time engagement, but did you know that Panopto offers your students the ability to search for text on slides, jot down notes, add feedback (discussions), and take self-check quizzes? Tie everything together in Modules and give your students a consistent experience from start to finish.
This webinar will cover the workflow of online assignment creation, student submission, instructor grading and student’s view of feedback. We will present an overview of the gradebook and discuss the advantages of using grading tools such as Rubrics and SpeedGrader.

New to Canvas? In less than an hour, learn some of the basics: uploading Files, organizing in Modules, creating Assignments (gradebook columns), and communicating with students (Announcements vs Inbox messages). We will wrap up with some helpful tips to save you time throughout the semester.
This webinar will cover accessing the UT Zoom portal, scheduling meetings, Host Meeting controls - including Breakout Rooms and Polling - and where to find resources and support. We will also discuss when to use the Canvas Zoom integration and when to use the Zoom web portal.
