This workshop will provide the opportunity to critically reflect on what diversity means to you and how you demonstrate a commitment to diversity, as well as to begin articulating how these values are apparent in your current practice and future goals.

In this session, you will identify course goals you may achieve through discussion, consider instructor anxieties regarding discussion, learn tools to facilitate effective discussions online, and gain knowledge about a range of discussion schemes and strategies.

In this workshop, UT Nutrition students will reflect on their community-based internship experiences in NTR 365, and participants will brainstorm ways to foster professional development, community service, and experiential learning in their courses. The recipients of last year’s Undergraduate Teaching Grants would like to share their stories of their journey implementing an innovation based on one of the Principles of Effective Teaching. They are willing share their success and challenges with you and help you include some of their ideas into your courses. Join us on Fridays to finish the week on an upbeat note.
