Update, 3/23: This workshop will be moving to an online, asynchronous format in Canvas. For more information, log-in to the Canvas course and check back for announcements soon.

*Please note: for this session participants are required to bring a paper copy of their teaching statements for peer review.

FIC staff will facilitate a peer workshop where participants will receive feedback on their teaching statement drafts and share suggestions to strengthen others' statements with vivid examples of teaching strategies and learner-centered goals. This is the thirteenth session in the spring Teaching Preparation Series, which will allow participants to observe, practice, receive feedback on, and reflect upon classroom teaching techniques.

To learn more and apply, visit http://bit.ly/spring20tps. After applying, applicants will be enrolled in the Teaching Preparation Series Canvas course. Once enrolled in the Canvas course, participants may reserve a spot in each session by clicking on the Teaching Preparation Series calendar and finding the appropriate session. The number of seats left will be displayed (if available).

Participants who complete multiple sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion that acts as a credential demonstrating your investment in professional development to future employers.  Complete 3 sessions for a Teaching Preparation Certificate; complete 7 sessions and submit a qualifying Teaching Statement for an Advanced Teaching Preparation Certificate. Please feel free to contact Laura Struve at struve@austin.utexas.edu with further questions.   We look forward to working with you!
