In this session, you will think about your teaching identity, and learn how to articulate your ideas about teaching and learning, how you teach, and why you teach the way you do in a Teaching Statement.

This program is targeted towards graduate students who hold non-classroom TA positions that focus on grading student work, attending faculty lectures, and holding office hours, but all graduate students and postdocs are welcome. The series will provide basic training in grading, communicating effectively with students, and fostering self-directed learning in students. In addition, it will allow participants to observe, practice, receive feedback on, and reflect upon classroom teaching techniques.

Participants who complete three of the four sessions will receive a certificate of completion that acts as a credential demonstrating your investment in professional development to future employers.
