Teaching Innovation Grant

Teaching Innovation Grants will be given to instructors over the summer to develop something new for a course to be taught in the fall of 2024 or the spring of 2025. The grantee will receive $3,000 to work on their innovation during the summer semester and implement it in the academic year 2024-25.

This year's theme is Principles of Effective Teaching.

The mission of the Center for Teaching and Learning is to promote innovation in education by focusing on student success. To that end, we've compiled a list of Eight Principles of Effective Teaching that can be used as a framework for developing new teaching methods. These principles were developed by synthesizing recent research on best practices for increasing student learning and promoting student success, with input from various faculty committees. Use these to help guide the creation of your proposal.

Proposal Components
