It’s time for the Panopto winter feature update! These changes will go live on December 19th, and our band of Panopto adventurers will be hard at work exploring the new features that will be available to UT faculty and students. These features include the ability to tag content to support organization and discovery; an AI driven tool that will create Smart Chapters from screen capture content, which can add chapters to those long Zoom sessions that can be integrated with Panopto; the ability to use virtual backgrounds directly in Panopto recordings; and the ability to access Panopto Capture directly in Canvas, which can allow you to create a video discussion board in Canvas. The ability to link to a specific point in a video allows instructors to point students directly to the part of a video they did NOT watch for class, and audio normalization makes it easier to integrate clips from different sources.
