This summer, the Faculty Innovation Center, Graduate School, University Career Services, and the University Writing Center are co-sponsoring an academic job preparation series for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Developing a Developing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Statement is the third session in the summer series. In this workshop, you will learn about the components of DEI statements — which are becoming an increasingly integral part of job market materials — and the role of these statements in your applications. This workshop will provide the opportunity to critically reflect on what diversity means to you and how you demonstrate a commitment to diversity, as well as to begin articulating how these values are apparent in your current practice and future goals.
