Does your course have an oral communication assignment, but you’re not quite sure how (or you’re just short on time) to prepare students for it? This workshop is intended for you! The Public Speaking Center and Faculty Innovation Center invite you to collaborate with us as we share tips for effective assignment design and implementation, rubric development strategies, and additional resources supporting you and your students with oral communication assignments. We will also share our new Deeper Dive Instructional Guide on Teaching Oral Competency, a Canvas course for faculty, filled with strategies, research, faculty testimonials, and rubric templates.
