Deeper Dive into Assessments (Special Topics)
This workshop will cover special topics related to Assessments (assignments, graded quizzes/discussions, etc.) in Canvas. Possible topics to include, but not limited to - how to use Modules to create a pathway through course content; discuss Differentiated Assignments, Peer Review, Group Work; using Turnitin, a plagiarism detection tool; and how graded assessments appear in the new Gradebook.
Incorporating Multiple Choice Questions in Canvas
Since learning takes place in students' heads, we can't see what's being learned until we ask. And believe it or not, it can be hard to write effective multiple choice questions. It takes time and thought in order to ensure the assessments are checking what you intend them to check. This course will help you plan and create quality assessments and give you an idea of where you can add them into your Canvas course.
