We are thrilled to announce the return of RISE: Resources and Insights for Starting Educators. Building on the success of last year's inaugural program, RISE is a summer cohort experience that empowers faculty with teaching-related knowledge, skills, and peer community for their formative years at UT. Participants in this program should be in the first five years of their UT careers, and have a professional or tenure-track faculty appointment of at least 50%. If you have any questions about this program, you can reach out to Molly Hatcher (molly.hatcher@austin.utexas.edu) for more information.
Program Details:
The program is intended for participants who can attend all five summer program sessions, in order to foster a learning community of educators. Upon completion participants will receive a digital badge and small stipend.
Each session will include both structured time with planned activities and unstructured time for getting to know colleagues and members of the UT teaching community over lunch. Topics for the structured portions will include:
- UT's Teaching and Learning Ecosystem
- Course Design and Organization
- Assessment of Learning
- Student Engagement
- Course Culture
