Assistant Director, Graduate Student Development Program
Michelle Gaston (she/her) is the Assistant Director of Graduate Student Development at the Center for Teaching and Learning. In her work at the CTL, she supports graduate students in preparing for intellectual leadership in both future faculty and nonacademic careers, in designing engaging learning experiences for their students, and in advancing an energetic culture of teaching and learning at UT. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative and International Education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Her research interests include the role of teaching preparation workshops in increasing instructor self-efficacy in the classroom. Email Michelle.
