Minnie Stevens Piper Professor Award

Organized in 1950, the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation is a non-profit, charitable corporation focused on postsecondary education in Texas. Each year, the foundation selects ten Piper Professors from across Texas for their superior teaching at the college level.
President’s Associates Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Awards

Each year, the President’s Associates Teaching Excellence Awards recognize great teaching of undergraduates in the core curriculum. These recipients are UT Austin’s educational innovators whose commitment and performance not only instruct, but inspire.
President’s Associates Graduate Teaching Excellence Award

The President’s Associates Graduate Teaching Excellence Award recognizes excellence in graduate student teaching.
The Jean Holloway Award for Excellence in Teaching

The award is presented annually to professors from the College of Liberal Arts or Natural Sciences who demonstrate a warm spirit, a concern for society and the individual, and the ability to impart knowledge while challenging students to independent inquiry and creative thought.
The Academy of Distinguished Teachers
Deadline: Oct. 27
The purposes of the Academy are to honor and reward excellence in teaching, provide leadership, foster research on effective college teaching and learning, and advise the institution on teaching policies and practices. Schools and Colleges please forward nominations to Academic Affairs via email to Brie Wilson <bridget.wilson@austin.utexas.edu>. Please include “ADT Nomination” in the subject heading.
The University of Texas System Academy of Distinguished Teachers
Deadline: Nov. 8 | Nominate here
In 2012, the University of Texas System Academy of Distinguished Teachers was established to recognize outstanding educators across the UT System academic institutions. Nominees must have received a Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award (ROTA) and have tenure or equivalent rank for non-tenure-track faculty (senior lecturer and above).
Friar Centennial Teaching Fellowship

The Friar Society, the university’s oldest and most prestigious honor society, awards the Friar Centennial Teaching Fellowship annually to one outstanding undergraduate professor. Nominations may come from students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
