Understanding Mentoring for Graduate Students

 This workshop will help graduate students and postdoctoral scholars understand mentoring and how to maximize mentorship relationships. Through discussion, self-reflection, and a case study, participants will learn to distinguish between the roles of mentor, advisor, and supervisor, identify their own mentoring needs, and build agency to pursue multiple mentors.This workshop is the first in a series created by the Graduate Student Mentoring Committee in partnership with the Faculty Innovation Center and Texas Career Engagement.
