On April 30, 2025, I hosted a public poster session showcasing student projects focusing on datasets from the City of Austin Open Data Portal, held at the University of Texas at Austin. Projects ranged widely in focus, from environmental data to transportation and public safety, demonstrating the breadth of student inquiry and analysis.

The session drew over 50 attendees, including university faculty, staff, fellow students, and city employees. The presence of city staff created valuable opportunities for dialogue, allowing students to share insights and ask questions about the real-world context and implications of their work.

This event served as both a celebration of student investigation and an example of meaningful community-university collaboration.
