Instructor Professional Development Opportunity in 2022-2023

Do you work hard at continuously improving your teaching? Interested in documenting your work with a nationally-recognized teaching credential?

Then this is the course for you. The University of Texas System is awarding grants for 30 full- time instructors to participate in the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) Effective Teaching Practices course. This year-long professionally facilitated asynchronous course gives you the opportunity to learn about, implement, and reflect on research-based teaching practices in the courses you are teaching in real time.

After completing all course modules, you will be awarded a Certificate in Effective College Instruction that can be included in your resume, Linkedin, and promotion file.

  • Attend a UT system-wide information session and course demo hosted by ACUE on Thursday, April 21 from 12:00-1:00 pm via Zoom (RSVP here). 

  • Download this informational letter to read more about the course.

  • Attend the graduation ceremony on May 10, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am for this year’s participants to learn more about their experiences. RSVP here.

The ACUE course is facilitated by UT Austin Center for Teaching and Learning staff. The next cohort starts the week of August 8, 2022. Applications are due Friday, May 13, 2022 Friday, June 17, 2022 (deadline extended!!), and final cohort selections will be made no later than July 1, 2022.
