The Center for Teaching and Learning is hosting a faculty panel and workshop with the Austin based Hypothes.is team on Wednesday November 9 from 12-1pm. The location for the event will be the Center for Teaching and Learning (Sanchez 4.102).
Hypothes.is is a social annotation tool that is available in Canvas and used widely on campus. Hypothes.is allows students to annotate course readings collaboratively, adding in multimedia and outside references as they ask questions of and offer answers to their peers and instructors.
Please join us for lunch as we hear current Hypothes.is users talk about how they use the tool to transform reading for their students. We are honored to be joined by the following faculty and instructors at UT:
- Danica Fulbright Sumpter PhD, RN, CNE (School of Nursing)
- Jose Izaguirre III, PhD (Department of Rhetoric and Writing)
- Grace Grove, MSIS/MA Student (School of Information and Department of English)
The Hypothes.is VP of Education Jeremy Dean (PhD, University of Texas, English Literature, 2012) and your Customer Success Manager Ashley Hood will also be on hand to answer any questions you have about implementing Hypothes.is in your course.
Please click on this link to RSVP for lunch from Grubhub and let us know to save you a seat.
If you have questions, please email Ashley Hood set up a quick meeting with her.
