The 2026 Student Belonging by Design Symposium, is an invitation-only follow up and extension of The Decoding the Second Year Experience Symposium held in the spring of 2025. At this event, attendees will learn about how:
- Curricular complexity & flexibility impacts students’ degree planning & emerging sense of belonging within their discipline and major
- App development can support advising and course selection and impact students’ belonging within their discipline and multi-semester course planning
- Teaching Innovation Grants have supported student belonging in several Fall 2025 UT courses
Perry-Castañeda Library (location TBD based on rsvps).
A light lunch will be served.
