CIS Important Dates and Deadlines

Summer 2015 sessions

June 22      CIS Request Period opens for ALL SUMMER SESSIONS:

You can enter requests for ALL summer sessions starting on this date, but you MUST enter a particular summer session’s CIS requests by the associated deadline. For example, you can enter requests for the Nine-Week Session starting June 22, but you must have them in the system by 5PM on July 15. (See deadlines below)

Authorized department CIS Contacts are responsible for requesting CIS (paper and electronic) on behalf of the associated department(s) and ensuring all CIS requests/records are accurately reflected in the CIS Administrative site by the associated deadline.

  • Enforcing CIS Request deadlines is supported by policy; late requests/changes are not accommodated.

  • In order to access the CIS Administrative Site, one must communicate his/her status as a CIS Contact to the CIS Office and complete the DI 901 (CIS Department Contact Training) class.            Registration for the DI 901 class occurs via TXClass.

 

June 26            FIRST (F) SESSION CIS REQUEST DEADLINE

You may continue to enter CIS Requests for N, S & W sessions until their associated deadlines (see below).

July 2-9: F Session CIS Administration Period

 

 

July 15             NINE-WEEK (N) SESSION CIS REQUEST DEADLINE

You may continue to enter CIS Requests for S & W sessions until their associated deadline (see below).

           July 21-28: N Session CIS Administration Period

 

 

July 28             2ND (S) & WHOLE (W) SESSIONS CIS REQUEST DEADLINE         

                                          August 7-14: S/W Sessions CIS Admin Period

 

August 21          Summer and Maymester Paper CIS Return deadline

  • All Paper CIS must be returned in person to the Scanning Office or CIS Drop Box, both located in the GSB 2.100 Corridor.
  • Packets/forms may not be mailed back to the CIS Office.

 

August 25          Provisional paper and electronic CIS Results available (*except Law School results) via MyCIS.

 

September 18   Official CIS Results for paper and eCIS post (except Law School results); available via MyCIS & CIS Results Site

 

 

Spring 2015 semester

March 23-April 3 (closes at 5PM):  Official CIS Request Period

  • Authorized department CIS Contacts are responsible for requesting CIS (paper and electronic) on behalf of the associated department(s) and must ensure all CIS requests/records are accurately reflected in the CIS Administrative site by 5PM on the final day of the Request Period.

  • Enforcing this deadline is supported by policy; late requests/changes are not accommodated.

  • In order to access the CIS Administrative Site (i.e.. "authorized CIS Contact"), one must communicate his/her status as a CIS Contact to the CIS Office and complete the DI 901 training class (New Contact Training for CIS). Registration for the DI 901 class occurs via TXClass.

April 27-May 8:  Official CIS Administration Period (paper and electronic)

May 18 @PM:  Paper CIS Return Deadline.

  • All Paper CIS must be returned in person to the Scanning Office or CIS Drop Box, both located in the GSB 2.100 Corridor.
  • Packets/forms may not be mailed back to the CIS Office.
  • Identified Maymester paper CIS may be returned by the SUMMER paper CIS Return deadline (Aug. 21)

May 26:  Provisional CIS Results for electronic CIS (eCIS) post to MyCIS. (*except for the Law School results)

June 17:  Provisional CIS Results for paper CIS post to MyCIS. (*except for the Law School results)

*June 24:  Provisional CIS Results (paper & electronic) for the Law School post to MyCIS.

June 29:  Official CIS Results post to MyCIS and the *CIS Results Site.

*CIS Results must meet the following criteria to post to the CIS Results Site:

  • at least five responses
  • at least 20% response rate
  • utilize a form that contains the mandated (via UT System & UT Faculty Council) "Core 12" survey items (i.e. all  CIS forms except the TA-series forms & FIG form)
  • be configured such that the data is officially "recognized" by the Institutional Reporting, Research, & Information System (IRRIS)
