Graduate Teaching Scholars Certificate Seminar

The Graduate Teaching Scholars Certificate Seminar is designed to support current graduate Assistant Instructors at UT Austin. The three overarching seminar goals are to:

  • broaden graduate student instructors’ pedagogical knowledge
  • connect graduate students with others who are committed to excellent teaching
  • support their development as future faculty members

Call for Applications: Graduate Teaching Scholars Certificate Seminar

We are now accepting applications for the spring 2014 cohort.

To apply, you must be a graduate student with an assistant instructor position for spring 2014. Note that the scholars seminar is not currently available to teaching assistants (TAs). The accepted cohort will be required to meet twice a month during the semester. During each of the sessions, teaching scholars will meet with their cohort and a doctorally-trained CTL facilitator. This is a non-credit seminar; however, upon successful completion of the program, teaching scholars will receive a certificate of completion.

Applications are due at 5:00 pm, December 13, 2013 with decision emails sent by December 20, 2013.
